During the autumn holiday, venture beneath Kronborg Castle, where history, architecture and storytelling come together in the dark and atmospheric casemates. For a limited time, we’re opening a hidden part of underground Kronborg that is normally closed to visitors – exclusively for the autumn holiday.
Explore the darkness and encounter the sleeping giant Holger Danske – but remember, he must only be awakened if Denmark is in danger.
Visitors of all ages can also set off on a ghost hunt through the castle and make their own spooky creations in the creative workshop.

Explore the dark casemates
Grab a flashlight and venture into the dark
Tour the underground passages and as a special treat, we have lit up and opened the Echo Chamber and the Marsh Stable, which are normally closed to the public. Here, a fascinating landscape of vaults, shadows and atmospheric spaces awaits, where the echoes of history still seem to live between the cold stone walls.

The little ghosts have been sneaking around Kronborg Castle and hiding in the most quirky places. Now they need some brave ghost hunters to find them!
Take the family on a fun and exciting ghost hunt for children, where you will explore the halls and corridors of the castle. Look carefully, because maybe there is a little ghost hiding just around the corner!
Along the way, you will get exciting and slightly creepy ghost stories from Kronborg Castle, while you search for the little ghosts.
The ghost hunt takes place on your own and at your own pace - perfect for the whole family.
Create fall and halloween crafts
Visit the creative workshop, where you can make paper bats, create your own ghost and take home a little Halloween memory from your visit.
Say hello to Holger the Dane and enjoy the castle
Have a break and enjoy a good cup of coffee in our café while you gather strength for a visit to the casemates, where you can meet our snoring legendary hero Holger Danske. Also, let yourself be captivated by the grandeur of the Ballroom, and take the 145 steps up to the Cannon Tower, where you can enjoy the most amazing view over the Øresund.
