Ticket office
We have two ticket offices. One office is located in the yellow house past the first moat. The other is located at the gate after the last moat, leading you directly into the castle courtyard.
Public transport
Take the Coastal Railway (DSB) to Elsinore Station – the train runs directly from Copenhagen about every 20 minutes. It's a 10-minute walk from the station to Kronborg. Bus lines 801A and 802 also stop at Elsinore Station. Ferries from Helsingborg arrive at the ferry terminal right next to it.
Tickets and annual passes
Can I get a refund for my ticket?
No, we unfortunately do not refund your ticket. However, once you have purchased the ticket, you have a whole year to find a suitable time to visit us.Can I exchange my ticket for an annual pass?
Yes, you can. But remember to upgrade your ticket before you leave the castle. The ticket must be upgraded within 24 hours. The ticket cannot be upgraded online.
Parking
Public parking
The public parking lot is located north of the castle. The address is: Nordhavnsvej, 3000 Helsingør.
Accessible parking
Accessible parking is available inside the castle grounds to the left of the red gate - entrance to the castle courtyard. Entrance to the castle grounds is by appointment with Kronborg's administration at +45 49 21 30 78.

Wardrobe
Cloakroom facilities are available free of charge. It is not permitted to bring large backpacks and luggage into the castle.

Buy food on site
You can find Café Sundtolden next to the castle shop. Here you can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks, and treats.
Bring your own food
You are welcome to eat your own packed food in The Old Kitchens.
Accessibility
Wheelchair access
Kronborg has many stairs and no elevator, therefore it is not easy to get around as a wheelchair user.

We welcome the four-legged helpers to the castle.

Strollers and changing tables
Strollers and prams are not allowed inside the castle and must be parked according to staff instructions. Changing tables are available in the restroom.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a dog?
Dogs are not allowed in the castle, not even in a bag. Service and guide dogs are an exception.Can I bring my bicycle?
Cycling is not permitted on the castle grounds and bicycles may not be brought into the castle courtyard. There are several bicycle parking options available, for example on Kronborgvej and by the castle guard at the entrance to the castle area.
