Take a seat at the table in the castle's old kitchens. Here, coziness and stories accompany delicious food and refreshing drinks. Welcome to a royal evening in good company at the castle
On Thursdays, you can take a bite of Kronborg. We invite you to a very special evening which starts with a tour in the castle where you will hear the juicy tales of Frederick II's lavish banquets, and sink your teeth into delicious food at the long tables in the old kitchens of the castle.

Unfortunately we don't offer the tour in English.
Meeting place
On the drawbridge in front of the large red gate leading to the castle courtyard.
Meeting time
Between 4:50 PM - 5:00 PM.
Important: The tour starts promptly at 5:00 PM. If you arrive late, unfortunately, you will not be able to join the tour.
The program
- Guided tour of the castle, where you will hear about what was eaten and drunk at Kronborg during the Renaissance.
- Meal based on seasonal ingredients, served at a buffet in the old kitchens.
- Communal dining at long tables, where selected beverages are available for purchase.

Rave parties, Renaissance dinners, and leftovers from the rich's table
Before you sit down to eat, you will be given an exclusive tour of the castle. You will hear all the wild stories about Frederick II's magnificent parties, food and drink in the Renaissance, and what the servants might have eaten themselves. Once your mind is sated, you are ready to fill your stomach.

Draft beer and community at the long tables
After having explored the castle, the cat prowls around the garden. Now you should take a seat at the tables in the old kitchens of the castle. Here, communal tables are set up where you can enjoy delicious dinners and good company in the rooms where hundreds of people have passed through over time.

The communal dinners at Kronborg are part of Elsinore Evenings. 10 of the city's cultural agents stay open in the evening every Thursday or Friday during the dark months, where there is much more to experience and taste.

No, the tour is only in Danish.Should I join the tour in order to have a meal together?
No. If you do not wish to participate in the tour, you can come for the meal at 6:00 PM.Are beverages included?
No, unfortunately. You can purchase drinks in the evening, for example beer, wine, and soda.
