Family activities

1.

Get ready for a royal performance

At the noblewoman's or nobleman's, you can practice bowing, curtsying, and dancing like the refined people at the court. Here you learn how to move correctly in the royal chambers and get ready to enter the ballroom with grace and manners.

2.

Narrow stripes and knightly arts

At the court jester's, there is plenty of action. Here you can learn to juggle, play music, and try your hand at fencing and ring riding – activities that require both concentration and a good mood. Perhaps there's a little jester or knight hiding inside you?

3.

Help in the busy castle kitchen

In the busy castle kitchen, extra hands are needed. You can help with sweeping, folding tablecloths, carrying wine barrels, and grinding spices. There is a lot to prepare and keep track of before the king's guests arrive, and here one gets a rare glimpse into the daily life behind the scenes.

4.

It's absolutely fantastic

Twice a day, everyone who wishes gathers for the king's cannon salute. At 11:30 and 13:30, the journey goes to the upper casemate, where the play cannon is fired amid great cheer. Both children and adults can join in when the festive atmosphere really starts to sparkle.
